Christian Ponce

Christian Ponce is the senior director of marketing at Miami University (Ohio). Christian came to the United States from Honduras to pursue an American higher education. After completing his bachelor's degree in communications and French and his master’s degree in integrated marketing communications, he launched a marketing and advertising career that spans 20 years. He is an award-winning senior marketing and communications professional with experience in ad agencies working for clients in various industries, including pharmaceutical, financial, banking, professional sports, food, and government, yet higher education marketing has been his calling for more than 10 years. Before joining Miami University, Christian served as the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications at Otterbein University, Associate Vice President of Marketing at Ashland University, and as Director of University Communications at Global University in Springfield, Missouri. He also served as Director of Communications at the US Committee for Refugees and Immigrants in Washington, DC, where he served as head of media relations and worked with a coalition of organizations to advocate for refugees and immigrants, unaccompanied immigrant children, and victims of human trafficking.
