J. Cody Nielsen

Dr. J. Cody Nielsen is a higher education practitioner and faculty member currently working full time at Dickinson College in the Division of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. He serves as adjunct faculty at Virginia Commonwealth University, Lesley University, and Southern Illinois-Edwardsville. He is the founder and Executive Director of Convergence Strategies, which works at the intersections of religious, secular, and spiritual identities and organizations/ institutions through an intersectional approach. He has over 15 years of higher education experience in public, private, and Canadian institutions of higher education. He is also the co-founder and Director of the Conference on Higher Education Belonging, Identity, Values, and Purpose, housed at the University of Missouri Kansas City (UMKC), meant to continue the long-standing efforts of the Dalton Institute for College Student Values.
