Jessica Pontarelli is a leader in higher ed communications. She currently serves as the Assistant Director of Communications at Brown University’s Swearer Center for Public Service. She has spent the last nine years focusing on digital storytelling in higher ed. Since 2022, Jessica has been focusing on harnessing the power of storytelling to advance experiential learning, advocacy, activism and social change. Born and raised in Rhode Island, she has a Bachelor of Arts in Communications, a Master of Science degree in Organizational Leadership, and professional certifications in copy editing and graphic design. When she is not working, she enjoys being by the water with her family, traveling and agonizing over the NYT crossword puzzle.
