Marcie Kagawa

Marcie Kagawa is a higher education marketing and communication professional with nearly 15 years of marketing and mass communication experience. She has worked at Cypress College, a community college in Southern California, for the past eight years leading projects in enrollment marketing, including CRM implementation and administration; integrated mar/comm strategy; executive communication; media and public relations; and brand building and creative strategy. She is passionate about her work in higher education supporting students who have committed themselves to personal and professional growth. Marcie earned her bachelor's degree in journalism and Asian studies from Hawaii Pacific University. She started her career in journalism writing for several Hawaii publications before becoming a reporter for Kyodo News, Japan's leading news agency, covering news in the western half of the U.S., Mexico, and Central America.
