From Admissions Counselor to University President - Lessons Learned from 30+ Years in Higher Education

Or listen on:

About the Episode

It's not often that an admissions counselor at a small university works his way up the ladder to become a university president - but Dr. Chris Domes did just that. On this week's episode of the Enrollify Podcast, Dr. Domes shares lessons he learned during his early years at St. Bonaventure, leadership insights he garnered during his time as Vice President for Student Development and Enrollment Management at Marymount, and the story of why he decided to become a university president.

Furthermore, Dr. Domes shares advice on how enrollment managers can work more closely with university leadership to meet the wider goals of the institution, and how to breakdown silos to ensure a fantastic experience for students. Dr. Domes believes that presidential leadership "requires reflective and thoughtful communication, followed by mission-centered decision-making and coupled with a high level of transparency."
