About the Episode
In this episode of The Enrollify Podcast, you’ll meet Kurt Allen, Vice President for Marketing and Communications at Notre Dame de Namur in Belmont, California — an institution founded in 1851 that became the first college for women in California and the first Catholic University to offer women a chance to earn a bachelor’s degree.
In 2021 Notre Dame de Namur University closed its undergraduate programs, but many mistakenly thought this meant that this institution, a pillar of the community founded by the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur, had closed its doors completely.
However, Notre Dame de Namur University wants Belmont and the surrounding regions to know that it is here to stay.
In this episode, Kurt shares how he and the leadership at NDNU navigated through this trying transition, how they’ve shifted their branding, marketing, and recruitment efforts to focus solely on graduate education, and how they’ve grown enrollment just two years after making such a pivotal decision.
